[edit] Budget Issues and IT Related Changes

[edit] Presentation
Gina Clifford delivered a presentation on Expanding an Online Presence On a Budget. Main topics included TypePad, YouTube, and leveraging student assistance.
From this presentation, a discussion evolved on how to most easily receive gifts from potential donors. Options include linking to the USF Foundation and the possibility of more "direct" links that allow for donation to a particular area or cause, without having to follow the current step-by-step form submission format.
The College of Arts and Sciences has previously implemented this process; Peter George may develop a brief report for next month's meeting.
[Actually, a presentation may not be necessary. Just drill down to the actual giving area to which you would like to link. Copy the URL and use it as the hyperlink for giving. For example, if you want to just show the Tampa Campus Library giving page, you would use https://usfweb2.usf.edu/foundation/asp/ssl/adfdn/funds.asp?dept=LBG&group=TL as the link. I used to have to create a form that would submit the proper field values in order to link directly, but that is no longer necessary.] I will give a brief demonstration at the next meeting if anyone would like me to do so...Peter George
