Peter George gave a brief overview of recent IT changes in the College of Arts and Sciences that also extend to the University as a whole (Helpdesk, desktop support, etc).

Dawna Ishler delivered a presentation on the Marine Science implementation of Google's Custom Search Engine. Google offers a comprehensive Getting Started Guide that should prove helpful. One interesting possibility for the Custom Search Engine might be to search across a College's main website, YouTube Channel, and other sites all with one targeted search.
Discussion also included USF's upcoming rollout of the Google Search Appliance and search engine optimization techniques.
