The new USF website will be launched on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 9am. Below are a list of recommended pre- and post-launch actions:

• Links
  • linked from appropriate pages on new site
  • correct links/destinations are used on new site
  • many addresses will change on the new site; update dept/unit site to reflect changes
• USF Calendar application has been upgraded
  • old accounts merged into new site
  • will feature RSS feeds for reuse of calendar data by dept/unit
  • contact the University Webmaster, Angel Arcelay, for a new account
• USF search engine will be purged and will re-crawl all sites
  • remove any old content which is outdated or no longer viable
  • check links to be sure no files/pages are orphaned
  • conduct search for relevant dept/unit terms to be sure area is appropriately represented
  • "best-bets" will be utilized, returning targeted search results for key terms
• A-Z Index has changed significantly
  • check for dept/unit representation and appropriate information
• College/Departmental listing for academic units has been created
  • Deans and Chairs were solicited for input
  • contact me if undergrad/graduate areas have concerns over their area’s listing
